Question 119

John had an average score of 85 in three tests. What was the John's lowest score?
A. John's highest score was 95.
B. The average of John's two highest scores was 92.

Total score of John in the three tests = $$85\times3=255$$

(A) : John's highest score = 95
=> Sum of rest two scores = $$255-95=160$$

Thus, we cannot find the lowest score.

(B) : Sum of two highest scores = $$92\times2=184$$
=> Lowest score = $$255-184=71$$

$$\therefore$$ Statement B alone is sufficient.

=> Ans - (B)
