let b's income be 100, then

a's income = 100+24=124

if a's income is 124 then , b's income is less by 24

if a's income is 1 ,then

a's income= $$\frac{24}{124}$$

a's income is 100 = $$\frac{24}{124}\times\ 100\ =\frac{600}{31}\ \%\ \ Ans$$
