A can do a piece of work in 6 days, B in 10 days and C in 15 days. They jointly complete the work and earn 300. The sum of their wages for 2 days is

Solution

It is given that A can do a piece of work in 6 days, B in 10 days and C in 15 days

Let assume that the amount of work is = 30 units

So

A's 1 day work = 5 units

B's 1 day work = 3 units

C's 1 day work = 2 units

If A, B , C work together than 1 day work = 10 units

and hence number of days required to complete the work when A+B+C work together = $$\frac{30}{10}$$ = 3 days

It is mentioned that for whole work, A+B+C is getting paid = Rs 300

So when for 3 days Rs 300 is being paid then for 2 days = Rs 200 should be the paid amount
