IIM LKI Admission Criteria – How to get into IIM LKI
The first step towards getting admission into the IIMs is taking the Common Admission Test (CAT) exam. Every year over two lakh candidates appear for the CAT exam. The selection criteria at the IIMs is based on the CAT score, Overall academic record, Work experience, Gender diversity, and the performance of the candidate in the Written Ability Test (WAT) and the Personal Interview (PI). In this article, we will look at the admission criteria of some of the Top IIMs, and how to get into IIM LKI (IIM Lucknow, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore) – as per the latest information available on the official websites.
CAT Eligibility Criteria: Students who have a recognized bachelor degree (or professional degree like CA, CS or ICWA) and have scored an aggregate of 50% (45% for SC/ST and PWD students) are eligible to write the CAT. Even students in their final year of bachelor degree are eligible to write the CAT exam.

These colleges select candidates based on a wide variety of factors. So, if we look at these factors, one can understand the selection criteria better and try to achieve the required CAT score accordingly.

The Selection process at the Top IIMs is broadly divided into two stages:
Stage 1 – In the first stage, candidates are shortlisted for the interviews on the basis of their CAT score, and other factors like the academic record, work experience etc, and interview letters are sent to shortlisted candidates.
Parameters for selection in stage 1:
1. CAT Percentile
2. Academics (10th, 12th, and Graduation scores)
3. Work experience
4. Gender Diversity
Stage 2 – The second stage is where the colleges select based on WAT-PI. A Composite Score is calculated for the Final Selection. The composite score of each candidate is calculated (usually out of 100) based on certain parameters, and the final selection list will be made.

IIM Lucknow Selection Criteria
Considered as one of the dream institutions for many MBA Aspirants, the selection procedure of IIM Lucknow is a little complex. The following is the selection criteria for admission into IIML.

IIML Stage 2: Criteria for Final Selection of candidates for the IIML PGP program
A candidate’s final score for selection in the PGP program will be calculated on the basis of the assigned weights as summarized in the below Table.

IIM Kozhikode Selection Criteria:
IIM Kozhikode adopts a three-stage selection process. The details of the three stages are provided below.
IIMK Stage 1
All candidates who have opted for IIM Kozhikode in their CAT applications and are fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria would receive an email for online registration for admissions to IIM Kozhikode (only those candidates who have successfully completed the online registration process for IIM Kozhikode are considered for Stage 2).

Stage 2: Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI)
In Stage 2, a shortlist of candidates in each reservation category would be prepared based on an Aggregate Index Score (AIS). The AIS is computed based on the performance in CAT, academic performance in Class X & XII, work experience and gender diversity.

Stage 3: Final Shortlist
In Stage 3, the short-listed candidates would be asked to appear for a Personal Interview (PI). After the conclusion of the PI process, a category-wise merit list would be prepared based on the candidates’ performance in CAT, PI and resume.
A candidate’s final score for selection will be calculated on the basis of the assigned weights as summarized in the below Table.

IIM Indore Selection Criteria
As per info on the official website, IIM Indore will adopt a three-stage selection process
(I) Eligibility criteria
(II) Shortlist for Written Ability Test (WAT)and Personal Interview (PI)
(III) Final Selection.
Stage-I: Eligibility Criteria

A sufficient number of candidates for WAT and PI for each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PwD) will be shortlisted using the merit list generated based on Composite Score (CS) as mentioned in below table.
