A factory buys 10 machines. 2 Machine-A, 3 Machine-B and rest Machine-C. Prices of the machines are Rs 95000, Rs 60000 and Rs 50000 respectively. What is the average cost of these machines?

Solution

Cost of machines A, B and C respectively are : Rs. 95000 , 60000 and 50000

Number of machines A, B and C respectively are : 2 , 3 , 5

=> Total cost = $$(2 \times 95000) + (3 \times 60000) + (5 \times 50000)$$

= 190,000 + 180,000 + 250,000 = Rs. 620,000

$$\therefore$$ Average cost = $$\frac{6,20,000}{10}$$ = Rs. 62,000

=> Ans - (A)
