A factory buys 10 machines. 1 MachineA, 4 MachineB and rest MachineC. Prices of the machines are Rs 90000, Rs 40000 and Rs 40000 respectively. Calculate the average cost of these machines?

Solution

Cost of machines A, B and C respectively are : Rs. 90000 , 40000 and 40000

Number of machines A, B and C respectively are : 1 , 4 , 5

=> Total cost = $$(1 \times 90000) + (4 \times 40000) + (5 \times 40000)$$

= 90,000 + 160,000 + 200,000 = Rs. 450,000

$$\therefore$$ Average cost = $$\frac{450,000}{10}$$ = Rs. 45,000

=> Ans - (C)
