The total Income of the company in 2015, 2017 and 2018 is approximately what percent less than the total Expenditure in the five years ?

Solution

The total Income of the company in 2015, 2017 and 2018 is

280 + 350 + 350 = 980

the total Expenditure in the five years is

175 + 250 + 275 + 300 + 325 = 1325

Hence percentage less $$\frac{1325-980}{1325}\times\ 100=\frac{345}{1325}\times\ 100=26\%$$
