Study the following table and answer questions:
Number of candidates appeared in an examination from five cities:
The ratio of the total number of candidates who passed from cities A and C to that who failed in cities B and E is:
Candidates who passed from city A = $$\frac{3}{5}\times75=45$$
Candidates who passed from city C = $$\frac{7}{12}\times108=63$$
$$\therefore$$ Total number of candidates who passed from cities A and CÂ = $$45+63=108$$
Candidates who failed from city B = $$\frac{15}{31}\times124=60$$
Candidates who failed from city E = $$\frac{20}{37}\times148=80$$
$$\therefore$$ Total number of candidates who failed from cities B and EÂ = $$60+80=140$$
=> Required ratio = $$\frac{108}{140}=27:35$$
=> Ans - (C)
