Solution

The average of 10 numbers is 37.

Sum of 10 numbers initially = $$37\times10$$ = 370

If each number is decreased by 2.

new average = $$\frac{370-2\times\ 10}{10}$$

= $$\frac{370-20}{10}$$

= $$\frac{350}{10}$$

= 35
