  Total work done by A, B and C in 9 days = (2x + 5x + 3x)x 9 = 90x Units.Â
 40% of total work = $$\frac{90x\times40}{100}$$
 C alone can do 40% of total work in $$\frac{90x\times40}{100\times3x}$$ = 12days.
