Asum of ₹ 1518 is divided among A, B, and C, such that A receives 20% more than B and B receives 20% less than C. What is the share of C in the sum?

Solution

Let sum received by C = Rs. $$100x$$

=> B received = $$\frac{80}{100}\times100x=Rs.$$ $$80x$$

=> A received = $$\frac{120}{100}\times80x=Rs.$$ $$96x$$

According to ques, => $$96x+80x+100x=1518$$

=> $$x=\frac{1518}{276}=5.5$$

$$\therefore$$ Sum received by C = $$100\times5.5=Rs.$$ $$550$$

=> Ans - (C)
