Solution

given the average age of 15 people is 32yrs

so,total sum of ages =32*15=480

if two more persons are added then then average is increased by 3 years
the age of two persons has difference of 9

let the ages be x,x+9

so $$\frac{\left(\left(2x+9\right)+\left(sumof15people\right)\right)}{17}$$=32+3

$$\frac{\left(2x+9+480\right)}{17}=35$$

2x+489=595

2x=106

x=53

question is asked to find the age of new elder person

i.e;x+9=53+9=62

hence answer is option A
