A can complete a piece of work in 20 days and B can complete 20% of the work in 6 days. If they work together in how many dayscan they finish 50% of the work, if they work together ?

Solution

A can complete the work in 20 days

B can complete 20% in 6 days

B can complete 100% = 30 days

Total work = L.C.M of 20 and 30 = 60 units, so 50% of the work = 30 units

Required time take by (A + B) = $$\frac{30}{5}=6$$ days
