Sweta can paint a wall in 30 hours, while Ansul can paint it in 40 hours. If they paint it together and get payment of ₹ 14,000. What is Ansul’s share?

Solution

Ratio of time taken by Sweta and Ansul = 3 : 4

Also, efficiency is inversely proportional to time, ratio of efficiency of Sweta and Ansul = 4 : 3

=> Ansul's share = $$\frac{3}{(4+3)}\times14000$$

= $$3\times2000=Rs.$$ $$6000$$

=> Ans - (A)
