Let monthly income of A = Rs. $$9x$$ and B = Rs. $$8x$$
Similarly, expenditure of A = Rs. $$8y$$ and expenditure of B = Rs. $$7y$$
=> Savings = $$9x-8y=500$$ -----------(i)
and $$8x-7y=500$$ --------------(ii)
Solving above equations, we get : $$x=500$$
$$\therefore$$ A's monthly income = $$9\times500=Rs.$$ $$4,500$$
