Question 61

A fruit seller initially had 'm' kg of apples. He sold 56% of these apples to a customer and was still left with 110 kg of apples. What is the value of 'm'?

Solution

A fruit seller initially had 'm' kg of apples. He sold 56% of these apples to a customer and was still left with 110 kg of apples.

'm' of (100-56)% = 110

'm' of 44% = 110

$$m\times\ \frac{44}{100}=110$$

$$m\times\ \frac{1}{25}=10$$

Value of 'm' = 250
