Question 60

The Pie chart shows the proportionate population of seven villages. The seven villages make up a district. If the population of villages F and G combined is 35000, then what is the total population of the district?

If the population of villages F and G combined is 35000.

total population of villages F and G = (20+25)y = 35000

 45y = 35000    Eq.(i)

Total population of the district = (6+9+7+15+8+20+25)y

= 90y

= $$2\times45y$$

Put Eq.(i) in the above.

= $$2\times35000$$

= 70000
