There are 8 tyres on each truck, irrespective of the brand of the truck. What is the average number of tyres per brand?

Solution

Total number of trucks = 45+35+36+44+28+22

= 210

There are 8 tyres on each truck, irrespective of the brand of the truck.

Total number of tyres in all the trucks together = $$210\times8$$ = 1680

The average number of tyres per brand = $$\frac{1680}{6}$$

= 280
