V= 40 days
Total work = lcm (10,40)= 40 days
S's effiency = $$40\div10$$ =4
V's effiency = $$40\div40$$ =1
Work = $$efficency\times day$$
Starting with Samrat and followed by Virat
4+ 1 + 4 + 1 ..........= 40
Consider 4+1 as a 1 unit
5 n = 40
n = 8
= $$8\times2$$
= 16 days
