What is the ratio of boys and girls in the colleges A and B taken together?

Solution

Total student in A=$$\frac{20}{100}\times1800=360$$

ratio of Boys:girl=4:5

number of girls=200

number of boys=160

Total student in B=$$\frac{18}{100}\times1800=324$$

ratio of Boys:girl=1:2

number of girls=216

Total Student in A & B=360+324=684

number of boys=108

Total boys in A & B=160+108=268

Total girls in A & B=416

ratio of boys and girls in the colleges A and B taken together=268:416=67:104
