What is the percentage of his total savings with reference to his total income for the period 2012-15 ?

Solution

Savings = Income - Expenditure

For the year 2012, Savings = 6 - 5 = 1

Similarly we will calculate the values for the rest of years and get as

Total savings = 1+1.5+2+1.5=6

Total income = 6+7+8+9=30

Required percentage = $$\frac{6}{30}\times100$$=20 %
