Solution

number of students getting $$\geq$$ 20% of 50Ā marksĀ in English and $$\geq$$ 80% of 50 marksĀ in Hindi.

number of students getting $$\geq$$ 10 marks in English and $$\geq$$ 40Ā marks in Hindi = 4320+200

=Ā 4520Ā  Ā  Eq.(i)

number of students gettingĀ $$\geq$$ 40% of 50Ā marksĀ in English and $$\geq$$ 60% of 50Ā marksĀ in Hindi.

number of students getting $$\geq$$ 20 marksĀ in English and $$\geq$$ 30Ā marks in Hindi = 3840+960

=Ā 4800Ā  Ā Ā Eq.(ii)

Ratio =Ā  Eq.(i) :Ā  Eq.(ii)

=Ā 4520Ā :4800

= 452 :480

= 113 : 120
