The average age of 50 teachers of a school is 66 years and the average age of 60 teachers of another school is 55 years. What will be average age of teachers of both the schools together?

Solution

Total age of 50 teachers of first school = $$50\times66=3300$$ years

Total age of 60 teachers of second school = $$60\times55=3300$$ years

$$\therefore$$ Required average = $$\frac{(3300+3300)}{50+60}$$

= $$\frac{660}{11}=60$$ years

=> Ans - (A)
