The average age of 9 men is 45 years. If the age of one woman is included, then the average age becomes 44 years. What is the age of the woman?

Average formula = $$\frac{Sum\ of\ the\ ages\ of\ the\ total\ number\ of\ person}{Total\ number\ of\ persons}$$
Here, the total age of 9 men = 45 $$\times{9}$$ = 405 years.
When one women is included then the total number of person becomes 10 ,hence total age of all persons = 44 $$\times$$ 10 $$ $$=440 years
So the age of women = 440-405 = 35 years.
