A shopkeeper sells 6 cardigans for ₹3,000 with 20% profit and 10 trousers for ₹6,38O with 16% profit. What is the total profit per cent?
Cost price of 6 cardigans = ₹3000
Cost price of 1 cardigans = ₹$$\frac{3000}{6}=₹500$$
Now he is having 20% profit on 1 cardigan = $$\frac{20}{100}\times\ 500=₹100$$
Profit on selling 6 cardigans = ₹600
Cost price of 10 trousers = ₹6380
CP of 1 trouser = ₹638
Profit on selling 1 trouser = 16% = $$\frac{16}{100}\times\ 638=₹102.08$$
profit on selling 10 trousers = ₹1020.8
Total profit = ₹600 + ₹1020.8 = ₹1620.8
Total CP = 3000 + 6380 = ₹9380
Profit % = $$\frac{1620.8}{9380}\times\ 100=17.27\ \%\simeq\ 17.25\ \%$$
Hence, Option A is correct.
