Rohit and Dinesh are 64 km apart. Rohit can walk at a speed of 15 km/hr and Dinesh at the speed of 17 km/hr. In how many hours will they meet if they are travelling towards each other?
The relative distance between them = 64km
Now we know when two persons move towards each other :
The time taken to meet =Â $$\frac{Relative\ Dis\tan ce}{Sum\ of\ speeds}$$
So we get time taken to meet =Â $$\frac{64}{15+17}=\ \frac{64}{32}=\ 2\ hrs$$
