Question 50

Which two signs should be interchanged to make the given equation correct ?
$$110 + 728 \div 28 - 15 \times 413 = 87$$

Solution

Given Equation : $$110 + 728 \div 28 - 15 \times 413 = 87$$

According to Option D

After interchanging the sign $$\times\ and\ \ -\ $$ , we get

$$110+728\ \div\ 28\times\ 15-413\ =\ 87\ $$

Solving according to the rule of BODMAS,

$$110+26\times\ 15-413\ =\ 87\ $$

$$110+390-413\ =\ 87\ $$

 $$500-413\ =\ 87\ $$

$$87\ =\ 87\ $$

L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence, Option D is correct
