Daily local train ticket costs Rs 60 and Monthly Pass costs Rs 1566. If I buy the Monthly Pass and travel for 29 days in a month than I save?

Solution

Train ticket cost for 1 day = Rs. 60

=> Cost for 29 days = 29 $$\times$$ 60 = Rs. 1,740

Cost of monthly pass = Rs. 1,566

=> Money saved = 1740 - 1566 = Rs. 174

$$\therefore$$ Required % = $$\frac{174}{1740} \times 100 = 10\%$$
