Question 32

In a certain code language, ‘RIVER’ is written as ‘10-3-5-2-10’ then how will ‘PETROL’ be written in the same code language?

Solution

 Given Code ‘RIVER’ is written as ‘10-3-5-2-10’

we know that  vowel A, E, I, O, U is vowel position is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

we represent Alphabet position according to that question A = 26, B= 25, C= 24 , D= 23 ..... And Z= 1.

then R alphabet position = 9, V position =4, R = 9

the pattern is going on consonant is position increase 1position and vowel position is written the same position

then RIVER = 10-3-5-2-10 (where I = 3 , E= 4 position from vowel position and consonant  add 1 position )

so   PETROL is written as

P = 11, E= 2 , T = 7, R= 9, O=4 , L = 15

then PETROL is written as  12-2-8-10-4-16 ( where consonant is add 1 position and vowel written as same position )

therefore   (D) 12-2-8-10-4-16 Ans
