A can do 75% of a job in 9 days
A can do 100% of work in $$9\times \frac{100}{75}=$$ 12days
 B can do half of the job in 8 days
B can do 100% of work in 16days
total work = L.C.M of 12 and 16 = 48
A's efficiency = 48/12 = 4
B's efficiency = 48/16 = 3
both can complete the half work in $$\frac{1}{2} \times \frac{48}{4+3}=\frac{24}{7}days$$
so the answer is option B.
