A, B, C, D and E are standing in line facing north. C stands in the middle. B and E cannot stand with C. A is not standing to the right of C. Who is standing second from left end?

Solution

C stands in the middle. B and E cannot stand with C

=> B and E stands at either ends of the row

A is not standing to the right of C, => A is standing to the immediate left of C.

Thus, the final arrangement is :

$$\therefore$$ A is standing second from left end.
