The length of the diagonal and the breadth of a rectangle are 17 cm and 8 cm respectively. Find its perimeter (in cm).

Solution

Let the length of rectangle = $$l$$ cm and breadth, $$b=8$$ cm

=> Diagonal, $$d^2=l^2+b^2$$

=> $$l^2=(17)^2-(8)^2$$

=> $$l^2=289-64=225$$

=> $$l=\sqrt{225}=15$$ cm

$$\therefore$$ Perimeter = $$2\times(15+8)=2\times23=46$$ cm

=> Ans - (B)
