A train starts from a place S at 11:00 a.m. and arrives at another place T at 2:30 p.m. on the same day. If the speed of the train is 25 m/s then what will be the distance (in km) covered by the train?

Solution

Speed of train = 25 m/s = $$(25\times\frac{18}{5})=90$$ km/hr

Time taken by train to travel from S to T = 3.5 hours

Using distance = speed $$\times$$ time

=> Distance (in km) covered by the train = $$90\times3.5=315$$

=> Ans - (B)
