Total amount spent in 1991 = 3,60,000

Angle subtended by steel in 1991 = 50°

=> Amount spent on steel in 1991 = $$\frac{50}{360}$$ * 3,60,000

= 50,000

Total amount spent in 2001 = 8,64,000

Angle subtended by steel in 2001 = 60°

=> Amount spent on steel in 2001 = $$\frac{60}{360}$$ * 8,64,000

= 1,44,000
