Solution

Let marked price = $$100x$$

Discount % = 20%

=> DIscounted amount = $$\frac{20}{100} * 100x = 20x$$

Amount saved by man = $$20x$$ = 25

=> $$x$$ = $$\frac{25}{20}$$ = 1.25

Amount paid by man = $$100x - 20x = 80x$$

=> 80 * 1.25 = 100
