If 45 persons can complete a work in 18 days, working 8 hours a day, then how many persons are required to complete two-thirds of the same work in 20 days, working 9 hours a day?

Solution

From mdh formula-

Total work = $$45 \times 18 \times 8 = 6480$$

Required work = $$6480 \times \frac{2}{3}$$ = 4320

by mdh formula,

$$20 \times 9 \times $$number of persons = 4320

Number of persons = 4320/180 = 24
