In 453 : 99,
453 $$\rightarrow$$ 4 + 5 + 3 = 12,
12 + 12/2 = 12 + 6 = 18

99 $$\rightarrow$$ 9 + 9 = 18
Similarly,
642 $$\rightarrow$$ 6 + 4 + 2 = 12
12 + 12/2 = 12 + 6 = 18
By the option D,
396 $$\rightarrow$$ 3 + 9 + 6 = 18
$$\therefore$$ The correct answer is option D.
