IIM Ranchi IPM 2026
IIM Ranchi does not conduct an exam of its own to admit students to the IPM Program. Admission to the program is through the IPMAT Indore exam.
After completing Class 12, students typically follow the conventional route of pursuing an undergraduate degree and then preparing for CAT to secure admission into an MBA program. However, there is a shortcut. The shortcut is the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offered by IIM Ranchi. It is a direct entry into a top IIM. No graduation degree required. No CAT required. IIM Ranchi accepts the IPMAT Indore score. That is where the similarity ends. Their selection rules are different. Their cut-off logic is unique. The biggest difference? No sectional cut-offs. IIM Ranchi IPM Important Dates 2026
IIM Ranchi does not run its own entrance test. It relies on the IIM Indore IPMAT score. This creates a trap. You must fill out two forms. First, the IPMAT Indore registration. Second, the IIM Ranchi application.
If you fail to apply for the IIM Ranchi IPMAT, you cannot enter the IPMAT program. It does not matter if you rank first in the exam. Without the Ranchi application, you will not be shortlisted.

IIM Ranchi IPM Eligibility
IIM Ranchi is picky when selecting the students. They do not want just anyone. They want consistent performers.
Your past scores matter here.
- Qualifying Exams: You must pass Class 10 and Class 12.
- General / EWS / NC-OBC: You need 60% in both Class 10 and Class 12.
- SC / ST / PwD: You need 55% in both Class 10 and Class 12.
- Entrance Exam: You must score in IPMAT 2026 (Indore). Scores from Rohtak or JIPMAT are not accepted here.
The Percentage Trap: Read this carefully. Your Board might use a "Best of 5" rule or any other rule to calculate a percentage, but the IIM Ranchi does not care.
They use the aggregate of all subjects. Every single subject on your mark sheet counts. If you have an optional subject where you scored low? It pulls your percentage down. Do the math yourself. Ensure you cross the 60% line using their method.

Tactical Advice: The Short Answer (SA) section is risk-free. No negative marking. Do not leave a single box empty. Even a wild guess costs you nothing.
In the MCQ sections? Be careful. A wrong answer hurts. You lose the 4 marks you could have gotten. You lose 1 extra mark as a penalty. That is a 5-mark swing.

IIM Ranchi IPM Cut-Off
IIM Indore demands that you pass every section. If you fail one, you are rejected. IIM Ranchi is different. There are no sectional cut-offs.
The institute calculates a Composite Score for the shortlist.

Analysis: A raw score of 177 was safe for General candidates last year. That is less than 50% of the total paper. The target is achievable.

IIM Ranchi IPM Fees
Quality education is not inexpensive. The IIM tag comes with a price tag.
The fee structure has two parts. The BBA phase (First 3 years). The MBA phase (Last 2 years).
