IIM Udaipur PGP Admission Process

The MBA admission process for the Institute consists of the following:

  • CAT Examination.
  • Shortlisting candidates for Personal Interview (PI) process.
  • The Personal Interview (PI) process at IIM Udaipur entails conducting online interviews. This PI process is shared among the participating IIMs in the Common Admission Process (CAP). The specific date for the PI will be conveyed by IIM Udaipur, the coordinating institute for CAP 2023. It is important to note that there will not be a Written Ability Test as part of the selection procedure.
  • Preparing the Merit List based on CAT score, PI score and Profile score as indicated in the following tables.

Stage 1: Selection Criteria For Shortlisting To PI Process

Below, you will find the cut-off percentile marks required for eligibility to the Personal Interview (PI) process in the three sections, as well as the total CAT percentile, categorized by different groups of students:

The Admission Committee of IIM Udaipur is responsible for determining the MBA program requirements and the final selection of candidates for the Personal Interview (PI) process based on pre-established criteria for each category. In the event that the number of shortlisted candidates falls short or exceeds the desired number of candidates to be called for the PI process in each category, the minimum scores required for both the overall and section-wise evaluations may be adjusted accordingly to achieve the desired number of candidates.

For the current year, the participating IIMs in the Common Admission Process (CAP) have collectively agreed to implement a unified admission procedure known as the CAP process. IIM Udaipur has been entrusted with the coordination of this process. The performance of candidates in the Personal Interview (PI) conducted as part of CAP will be taken into account when compiling the merit list.

Stage 2: Selection Criteria for Preparing the Merit List

The final merit list will be compiled by evaluating the shortlisted candidates based on their CAT score, performance in the personal interview, and academic profile. The following weightages have been allocated to each component in the selection process:

*The candidate’s CAT score will be divided by the maximum CAT score among all candidates who have applied to IIM Udaipur and attended the personal interview (PI). It is important to note that the CAT score, rather than the CAT percentile, will be utilized for this calculation.

**Profile: The following will be the breakup of the 25% component for Profile:

  • Academic Profile: 9%
  • Work experience: 9%
  • Diversity: 7%

IIM Udaipur MBA Fee Structure

The total fee for the MBA program at IIM Udaipur amounts to INR 22.6 Lakhs encompassing all academic and hostel charges.
