Four numbers A, B, C and D are such that their overall average is 16. The average of A and B is 9.5. The average of C and D is:

Given that 

$$\frac{A+B+C+D}{4}=16$$

$${A+B+C+D}=64$$...............1

$$\frac{A+B}{2}=9.5$$

$${A+B}=19$$.............2

Subtract  eq 2 from 1

we get

$${C+D}=45$$

average

$$\frac{C+D}{2}=22.5$$
