Question 9

A series is given, with one number missing. Choose the correct alternative from the given ones that will complete the series.

3/5, 1.4, 11/5, ? , 19/5, 4.6

Solution

The pattern followed is that $$'\frac{4}{5}'$$ is added to each number.

$$\frac{3}{5}$$ $$+\frac{4}{5}$$ = $$\frac{7}{5}=1.4$$

1.4 $$+\frac{4}{5}$$ = $$\frac{11}{5}$$

$$\frac{11}{5}$$ $$+\frac{4}{5}$$ = $$\frac{15}{5}=3$$

3 $$+\frac{4}{5}$$ = $$\frac{}{5}$$

$$\frac{19}{5}$$ $$+\frac{4}{5}$$ = $$\frac{23}{5}=4.6$$

=> Ans - (D)
