Question 84

If 17 $ 22 = 4 and 56 $ 13 = 7, then find the value of 71 $ 25 = ?

Solution

Given, 17 $ 22 = 4 and 56 $ 13 = 7

The logic here is

$$\left(1+7\right)-\left(2+2\right)=4$$

$$\left(5+6\right)-\left(1+3\right)=7$$

The value of the equation is equal to the difference of sum of digits of left number and sum of digits of right number.

Similarly,  $$\left(7+1\right)-\left(2+5\right)=1$$

$$\therefore\ $$71 $ 25 = 1

Hence, the correct answer is Option C
