Let the number be N.

As the number leaves 48 as remainder when divided by 783, then

N = 783 x k + 48 (Here, k is an integer)

N = 29 x 27 x k + 29 + 19

N = 29 (27k + 1) + 19

Let 27k + 1 = m

then N = 29m + 19

So, remainder = 19

Hence, option C is correct.
