Out of the number of students (both male and female learning freestyle in school B, ⅝ are 15 years or above. If out of the total students who are 15 years or above, 30% are females, what is the number, of female students learning freestyle who are below 15 years ?
Solution
Number of students learning free style in school B = 28 % of 400 = 112
Number of female students learning free style in school B = 112 ( 9/16) = 63
Number of students 15 years or above = (5/8) 112 = 70
Number of female students 15 years or above = 70(30/100) = 21
Number of female students below 15 years 63-21 = 42.
Option B is the correct answer.
