Foreign exchange reserves in 1996-97 = 4320
Total foreign exchange reserves over the period
= 2640 + 3720 + 2520 + 3360 + 3120 + 4320 + 5040 + 3120 = 27840
=> Average foreign exchange reserves = $$\frac{27840}{8}=3480$$
$$\therefore$$ Required % = $$\frac{4320}{3480} \times 100$$
= $$124.13 \approx 124\%$$
