Question 64

If Number A is $$(0.99)^2 \times (0.99)^3$$ and Number B is $$(0.99)^6$$, then which number is bigger?

Solution

When a number less than 1 but greater than zero is multiplied by itself, the product is less than the original number. Like 0.9x0.9 = 0.81 < 0.9

So, (0.99^5) > (0.99^6)
