Let the investment of Jalal, Amit and Feroz be x, y and z
Given that invests 4 times as much as Amit and Amit invests ¾ of what Feroz invests.
⇒ x = 4y and y = $$\frac{3}{4}z$$
Given that total profit at the end of year is Rs.19000
⇒ x + y + z = 19000
⇒ 4y + y + $$\frac{4y}{3}$$= 19,000
⇒ 12y + 3y + 4y = 57,000
⇒ 19y = 57,000⇒ y = 3,000
Jalal investment (x) = 4y = 4 (3, 000) = Rs.12,000
