If 20 men working 8 hours per day can complete a piece of work in 21 days. How many hours per day must 48 men work to complete the same job in 7 days?

Solution

$$M_1=20$$ , $$D_1=21$$ and $$H_1=8$$

$$M_2=48$$ , $$D_2=7$$ and $$H_2=h$$

Using, $$M_1D_1H_1$$ = $$M_2D_2H_2$$

=> $$20 \times 21 \times 8 = 48 \times 7 \times h$$

=> $$h=20 \times \frac{21}{7} \times \frac{8}{48}$$

=> $$h=20 \times \frac{3}{6}=10$$ days

=> Ans - (C)
