Question 49

In a certain code language. 'BREAK' is written as '23615455' How is 'XEROX' written in that code language?

Solution

Given,

'BREAK' is written as '23615455'

The pattern followed here is :

The place value of alphabets of word given is multiplied by 1,2,3 and so on.

i.e

  • B = $$2\times\ 1=2$$
  • R = $$18\times\ 2=36$$
  • E = $$5\times\ 3=15$$
  • A = $$1\times\ 4=4$$
  • K = $$11\times\ 5=55$$

Similarly,

XEROX will be coded as :

  • X = $$24\times\ 1=24$$
  • E = $$5\times\ 2=10$$
  • R = $$18\times\ 3=54$$
  • O = $$15\times\ 4=60$$
  • X = $$24\times\ 5=120$$

So, XEROX will be written as 24105460120.

Hence, Option B is correct.
