Question 48

If '$$+$$' means '$$-$$', '$$-$$' means '$$\times$$' and '$$\times$$' means '$$\div$$', then $$15 - 3 + 10 \times 5 + 5 = ?$$

Solution

'$$+$$' means '$$-$$',

$$-$$' means '$$\times$$'

and '$$\times$$' means '$$\div$$'

$$15 - 3 + 10 \times 5 + 5 = ?$$

$$15\times 3 - 10\div 5 - 5 = ?$$

Apply bodmass rule

 $$15\times 3 - 2 - 5 = ?$$

$$45 - 2 - 5 = ?$$

$$45 - 2 - 5 = 38$$
